This is the stainless steel version of the knife we use in our classes. You can’t find a better knife for the price!

The Swiss Army Knife with a saw is a great tool to have when you are not bringing an ax or larger saw with you.

Another multi-tool option that has a saw. The pliers and file are also useful to have in the field.

Fire Starting

Stormproof matches, great open flame option

Lighters are the most convenient fire starter but don’t work when they get wet or cold

5’x7’ Tarp, big enough for a lean-to. Good option in the summer.

This is the rope we use in our classes. It is good to carry 50’-100’ feet in the field.

Water & Cooking

Klean Kanteen

Stainless steel single wall water bottle allows you to boil water.

2 quart steel pail is a good size for a solo cook kit.

The reflector oven that we use for our classes. It is handmade by a gentleman in Sweden and available for purchase through Ben’s Backwoods

This pot grabber works great to use the steel bowl as a frying pan

This can be used as a lid lifter or to place you lid on to keep it off the ground

This is the most secure way to remove the lid on your Dutch oven

This pie pan nest into the 2 quart pan along with the bowl. It can be used as a plate or a small frying pan
